About
Making a two-year commitment to work in underserved schools, I taught Reading, Writing, and Math in the Mississippi Delta through Teach For America.
I believe education is a civil right, and I look forward to the day when all people will have access to the finest education available regardless of race, gender, or class.
I received a B.A. in American Studies from Austin College ('00) and a M.A. in English from Texas Woman's ('09) with an emphasis in American Literature and American History after the Civil War. A doctoral student in the English department at Baylor University, I currently teach Thinking & Writing.
